Where to be
98 Đ. Tô Ngọc Vân, Tây Hồ, Hà Nội 100000, Vietnam ↗
That is the only thing you need to plan around. Our son is Vietnamese and Jewish, and we’re bringing the people we love to Hanoi to honor the Jewish diaspora, and to see him called to the Torah.
We know you’re missing Christmas to be with us. Thank you. It’s a mitzvah, and we promise to make the trip worth it.
- Please do not bring any outside food or drink to the Bar Mitzvah — all food will be prepared by the Chabad of Hanoi and will be strictly kosher.
- Please do not use any electronics — including cell phones — while in the Chabad, during and after the services.
We know the area
We know Hanoi and Vietnam well, and we’d love to suggest ideas that work best for your family. The Chabad is located in the Tây Hồ (Tay Ho) neighborhood, north of the Old Quarter — traditionally an upscale, international community with numerous hotels and Airbnbs within walking distance. In January 2027 we’ll share lodging and itinerary ideas. Until then, all we need is your RSVP. A few things we’re happy to help with:
- Where to stay. Hotels and Airbnbs we trust, in the right part of town.
- What to do. Food, markets, day trips, and what to skip.
- Getting around. Flights, visas, airport pickups, and local transport.
- Kosher and dietary needs. Tell us what your family needs.
